Love of Country or Ambition?

Hillary Clinton must choose.

Which is more important to her?  Her love of country she so often cites on the campaign trail or her personal ambition?

Following the results in North Carolina and Indiana, Clinton’s campaign no longer has even a tortured path to the nomination.

She continues to lose in pledged delegates.

She continues to lose in the popular vote.

And with no path to the nomination, the time has come for her to choose country over ambition, end her campaign, and begin the party healing process necessary if Senator Obama is to win the general election.

This is the moment when her love of country is tested.

If she makes the right decision, it will be one we all remember, and it will cast her the end of her campaign in a positive light.

But if she makes the wrong decision and drags this out; if she chooses personal ambition as her personal guide, then the Hillary Clinton we remember will be much different.

Hillary has contributed a lot to America, no doubt about it. And, we're all grateful. But, it's time for her to demonstrate her love for America by putting the Dems in the best position to beat McCain. She has no clear path to get the numbers she needs. Yeah, there could be an Obama fluff-up, but we don't have time to wait for that. Obama has earned his right to be the nominee and it's time we turn our attention to McCain. Hillary needs to find a graceful way out. Staying in will only create resentment and more ammo for the GOP.

It's definately time for Hillary to bow out. Looks like for the most part the majority of the states have spoken and she has no chance at the democratic nomination. Staying in will only further divide the party.

with every conflict comes opportunity. hillary is certainly conflicted; to give up her ambition in the face of receding chances must be a difficult place to be in for her.

it is time for her realize defeat and take this opportunity to do the right them for the party, as well as, preserve her and bill's legacy.

her hope of convincing the uncommitted super delegates is slim and none; and slim just left town.

in poker they say not to throw good money after bad money on a losing hand. it is time for hillary to fold and not damage the party's chance at winning the big pot.

Tonight, the talking heads say Hillary knows the score--that she has hit the brick wall but is staying in long enough to ease her supporters into the notion that she can't win so they will be more receptive to supporting Obama. the 'heads' thinks she can make a more graceful exit if she stays in longer?? Anyone think there's validity to that? Is she wanting to be the running mate?
